Translate, proofread and approve online — right in the layout

InTO closes the gap between translation agency and DTP studio. Text is translated directly in your InDesign or Quark documents — AI-powered, terminologically accurate and true to the layout. The result: finished, print-ready documents instead of raw translation files.

DTP and workflow automation. That translates into −58 % DTP costs and −42 % PM costs.

Hörmann: from pilot phase to a group-wide localisation platform

Hörmann is Europe’s leading manufacturer of doors, gates and frames — with more than 30 languages and thousands of catalogue pages a year. InTO has transformed the entire localisation process.

“With InTO, we have drastically reduced our translation costs while raising quality at the same time. What used to take weeks is now done in days — and across more than 30 languages.”

Stefan Gamm Head of Marketing Communications, Hörmann

What began as a pilot project with a single product catalogue is today the group-wide translation platform for all marketing materials. InTO processes several thousand pages a year — fully automated, quality-assured and cost-transparent.

WAGO too processes its multilingual catalogs with InTO — up to 80 % faster.View the WAGO Case Study →

The agency invoice is just the tip of the iceberg

Technical documentation and marketing materials cost more than the translation alone. Behind every agency invoice hide manual processes, DTP loops and coordination effort — the real cost drivers.

Manual text fitting

Translated text doesn’t fit the layout — copy-paste, adjust the font size, fix line breaks by hand. For hours, in every language, with every revision.

DTP rework

Every new language version means another DTP round. The agency rebuilds the same document over and over — and invoices it over and over.

PDF correction chaos

Corrections arrive as PDFs with comments, get forwarded by e-mail, retyped in Word and re-entered into InDesign. Version chaos included.

E-mail ping-pong

Translation provider, proofreading, agency, internal marketing — everyone coordinates by e-mail. Every round of feedback costs time and increases the error rate.

Hidden agency invoice

On top of the per-word translation price come DTP hours, project management, correction loops and rush surcharges — often unplanned and hard to control.

No cost transparency

What does language X, document type Y or provider Z cost? Without benchmarks and a breakdown, localisation effort can’t be managed or negotiated.

Three steps to measurable savings

No lengthy onboarding. No risk. Clear milestones.

01

30-minute cost analysis

We analyse your current localisation effort — costs, turnaround times, processes — and show you exactly where InTO helps and how much you can save.

02

Pilot project

We start with a real document from your company — e.g. a product catalogue or an assembly manual — and translate it live with InTO. You see the result in under 2 weeks.

03

Rollout

After the pilot we scale to all document types, languages and teams. InTO becomes your central translation platform — with measurable KPIs and full cost control.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Isn’t ChatGPT or DeepL enough on its own?”

Today’s AI does produce a strong first draft, that is true. InTO builds on exactly that. What changes is only where the effort sits: less in the translation itself, more in review, layout and version control. The better the AI translates, the more text moves through your process, and the more the checking afterwards matters. That is where InTO comes in.

“We already use DeepL. Do we still need InTO?”

Good, then you already know what DeepL is worth. InTO has DeepL built in, so this is not about replacing it. The real point: translation itself accounts for only 20 to 30 percent of your total process cost. The remaining 70 to 80 percent sits in typesetting, review and version control, especially with large InDesign documents such as catalogues and manuals.

“Translation is not an issue for us right now. It runs fine.”

We believe you. Most companies feel no acute pressure here. Still, a different question: do you know what the complete process actually costs, across the agency, internal coordination and correction rounds? Very few companies have ever measured it. And the largest cost block usually is not the translation, it is the layout and review that follow. That is what the free Localization Stress Test shows you: a quick check of about three minutes, no document upload, no call.

“We are happy with our translation agency. We do not want to change anything.”

You do not have to. InTO does not replace your agency. As a rule the agency invoice covers only 30 to 50 percent of the true process cost. The rest arises in your own house, in typesetting, coordination and correction rounds. That internal effort is what InTO addresses, not the translation work your agency delivers. Your agency relationship continues unchanged.

“Is there a free trial or fixed pricing?”

InTO does not offer an open self-service trial account. Two free tools online are the way in: the Localization Stress Test as a quick check with no document upload, and the Layout Cost Calculator for an estimate based on your own translated document. If you then want to see InTO in practice, we set up a guided trial with your own documents. A time-boxed pilot with fixed pricing and a clear cost ceiling follows. Concrete figures we discuss personally.
